Didi turns down approach from Aduana Stars

Coach Mas-Ud Dramani has rejected an approach to offer him the head coach role at struggling Ghana Premier League side Aduana Stars.

According to Footy-GHANA.com sources, top officials of the Dormaa-based club placed calls to the former Kotoko gaffer after the resignation of Nurudeen Ahmed on Monday.

But Did Dramani, who recently confirmed to Footy-GHANA.com of his new appointment by the Ghana FA as a Youth Development Coach rejected the offer due to the workload from his various roles for both the Ghana FA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Dramani’s new role means he’s now responsible for coming up with programs that are geared towards identifying and developing young players for the Ghana Football Association. He also has oversight responsibilities over the activities of Ghana’s age group national teams including the U-17, U-20 and U-23 Male and Female, making it difficult to add extra club football roles to his duties.

“…I’m a full time employee of the GFA now working as the Youth Development Coach. So my job cuts across both the male and female national teams. Wherever they ask me to help out I won’t have a choice,” he told Footy-GHANA.com.

His immediate tasks entail building a new Ghana Under-20 national team that will compete and qualify for the 2017 U-20 Nactions cup in Zambia next year. He also has his Princesses participating at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea later in November.

Footy-GHANA.com also understands that officials of Aduana impressed on the CAF coaches’ instructor to help in recommending a young coach for consideration by the club.
