Kotoko players are psychologically affected by the supporters – Ocloo

Kotoko assistant gaffer David Ocloo believes the club’s fans should be focused on supporting the players in transforming the dwindling fortunes in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

After 26 games in the Ghanaian top-flight, the Porcupine Warriors are 11th and lost eleven games, drew six times and won nine games.

Interestingly, Kotoko have lost four games and recorded three draws at home. They are bottom in the league log on home matches.

Ocloo touched on the psyche of the team at the moment and pleaded with the club’s supporters to help the lads.

“The hooting and shouts on the players is an exhibition of pain our fans feel at this point and they are in the right step.

“However, it’s time they all decide to motivate them when they meet the players off the pitch too.”

The assistant coach continued: “The boys are humans like us and they see and hear what happens on the streets and on social media, they have got family members as well.

“It psychologically affects them but we keep inspiring them and we hope things will improve soon.”

The next five games for the Reds might plunder them into the relegation spots should they lose.

After Samartex, Kotoko play Medeama away, Legon Cities at the Baba Yara and Berekum Chelsea away.
