Dreams FC’s journey in the 2023/24 Caf Confederation Cup ended on Sunday evening after Zamalek thrashed the Ghanaian side 3-0 in Kumasi.
The Still Believers were crushed in the first half after Zamalek’s calculated attacking moves carved open their defensive line in a crucial semi-final fixture with a packed Baba Yara Stadium, ready to inspire the lads to victory.

Zamalek played with confidence and quality in midfield, taking note of set pieces as Dreams’ weakness to open the scores.
Hamza Mathlouthi rose high to head Zizo’s corner kick into the hosts goal in the 12th minute.
The White Kinghts continued their challenge for qualification and Beninois forward Samson Akinyoola bagged the second with a good strike in the 18-yard box.
Dreams could have netted a goal before half time but the experienced John Antwi and Agyenim Boateng were wasteful upfront.
After the break, Zamalek scored the third though Mostafa Shalaaby in the 59th minute to cap off their stupendous display.
The Egyptians will face RS Berkane in the two-legged final of the Caf Confederation Cup.
Not the way we expected it to be.
