Asante Kotoko skipper Richard Boadu says the side is pumped up for the 2022/23 Caf Champions League first preliminary round second leg clash against RC Kadiogo on Sunday.
The Porcupines face their Burkinabe opponents at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium after winning the first leg 1-0 in Benin.
Isaac Oppong’s 92nd-minute goal gives Kotoko the advantage for the game and Boadu is positive about the test.
“We all read about the history and this is our time to also make history.
“And for us players, our immediate target is to reach the group stage. Sunday’s game is very important for all of us.
“We know it’s not going to be easy but we are ready for it,” Boadu said at Kotoko’s pre-match press conference.

The midfielder leads the Porcupines as captain for the first time at their spirited home ground.
“The captaincy means a lot to me but it comes with a lot of responsibilities.
“Because being a player for Kotoko isn’t an easy task.I will just have to adjust to the role of a captain and what it demands.”
Boadu led the team against Kadiogo in Benin as the Porcupines claimed victory.
Truimphing in the second leg will advance the Reds to the next qualifier of the Caf Champions League.
