AFCON 2017: Tough draw as Ghana meets Egypt, Uganda, Mali in Group D

Ghana have been drawn in Group D alongside Egypt, Uganda and Mali for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Libreville, Gabon.

The draw which was held on Wednesday paired Egypt, the most successful nation in the cup’s history with the Black Stars. Ghana’s last meeting with Egypt at AFCON was in 2010; a 1-0 win for Egypt in the final in Luanda.

Ghana will also be facing Uganda who recently has been Ghana’s nemesis on the 17th January 2017 in Port Gentil.

The last team in this group is Mali who came third place in both 2012 and 2013 AFCONs.
