The influential forward spearheaded Athletic’s charge in this LaLiga match-day 6 fixture, marking a historic moment as they clinched their first win away at their Basque neighbours in over two decades.
The breakthrough came in the 18th minute when Iñaki found the net with a precise strike from the centre of the box, directing the ball to the bottom right corner after receiving a perfectly-timed through ball from teammate Mikel Vesga.
Continuing his exceptional performance, Iñaki turned into the provider in the 75th minute. He set up Oihan Sancet, who unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box that nestled into the bottom left corner of the net.
Athletic Bilbao has now secured victory in four LaLiga matches this season. Their latest win marked their third consecutive match without conceding a goal. Their only loss came in the opening round against Madrid, and they also played to a draw against Mallorca.
