Dreams FC edge GoldStars 2-1 to end two-game winless streak

Dreams FC ended a two-game winless streak with a 2-1 victory against newcomers Bibiani GoldStars on match-day 6 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

The Still Believe lads had drawn and lost in back-to-back away games against Great Olympics and Bechem United respectively prior to this fixture at Dawu Park on Sunday.

Forward Huzaif Ali gave Dreams a deserved lead in the 26th minute after a superb surge by Agyenim Boateng Mensah.

Dreams enjoyed the dominance but failed to produce any extra goals for the remaining minutes of the first half.

It took yet another moment of brilliance from teen sensation Abdul Fatawu Issahaku to somehow put the game beyond GoldStars.

The 17-year-old unleashed a trademark piledriver past goalkeeper Ernest Kusi in the 80th minute.

During a 4-minute time added on, GoldStars were awarded a penalty which Joseph Amoah converted to end the game 2-1.

Dreams FC’s Habib Mohammed received the NASCO man-of-the-match award.
