FC Samartex focuses on five-year development plan despite GPL success

FC Samartex President Richard Duah Nsenkyire says the club will stick to their five year development plan despite claiming the Ghana Premier League title.

The Timber Giants won their maiden top-flight league with 61 points from 34 games after just two seasons of earning promotion from the Division One League.

According to Nsenkyire, the club intends to focus on improving critical areas of the club’s daily activities for consistent success.

“The project is continuing. It has always been a 5-year development project and it is a work in progress. Clinching the ultimate trophy (GPL) was planned but it came too early,” Nsenkyire told 3Sports.

“We want to strengthen our scouting unit, improve on technology, logistics, and pitches. We really want to make sure we provide the right logistics for the team to perform well in all competitions.”

Samartex are preparing for the 2024/25 Caf Champions League as Ghana’s representatives for the continental masterpiece alongside Nsoatreman who have the Caf Confederation Cup task.
