Allocate spots to local players in Black Stars – Maxwell Konadu

Nsoatreman FC Head Coach, Maxwell Konadu is advocating for the callup of Ghana Premier League footballers to the Black Stars.

The gaffer believes the move will enhance the growth of the League and offer exposure to players in the top-flight.

Konadu, a former Black Stars assistant with Kwasi Appiah, was speaking in an interview with Onua FM.

“I think the Ghana Football Association should allocate slots for our local players in the senior national team, the Black Stars, to enhance the performance of the Ghana Premier League.”

Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo is expected to announce his squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) next month.

Ghana plays Mali kn Bamako on June 6, and host CAR on June 10.
