Tano Bofoakwa will be facing Dreams FC in the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup at the Wafa Park in Sogakope on Sunday, May 12, 2024.
It’s definitely going to be an interesting battle between the two clubs as they are both eyeing to win the competition and represent the nation in the CAF Confederations Cup next year.
Both teams have won all their four games leading to the semis. Dreams FC has scored 8 goals and only conceded 1, while Bofoakwa has scored 6 goals and conceded 1.
Dreams FC has been consistent in the FA Cup over the last three years. They’ve reached the semi-finals twice and even won it once while Bofoakwa has not shown consistency in the championship but it’s definitely going to be an exciting game between these two clubs.
Dreams FC is highly inspired to defend their title and represent the nation in Africa once again.
They recently made a remarkable achievement by reaching the semifinals of the Confederations Cup in their first-ever participation and it’s a testament to their talent, hard work and determination.
Bofoakwa seems a little bit uncertain about whether they will show up for the match or not.
On Wednesday, their CEO claimed that the money given to them is not enough to cover their expenses for the match.
They’re requesting additional funds from the FA Cup organizers, otherwise, they might not participate.
Hopefully, they can come to a resolution and the match can proceed as planned and hope this doesn’t affect their performance on the match day.
The game between Bofoakwa and Dreams kicks off at 3:00 PM.
