2023/24 MTN FA Cup: Nsoatreman, Legon Cities battle for final spot

Legon Cities face Nsoatreman in the MTN FA Cup semifinals on Saturday, May 11th, 2024, at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.

Both sides have shown their strength by winning all four of their previous games.

Interestingly, Nsoatreman has had the advantage of playing all four games at their home ground, where they’ve showcased an impressive defense, conceding zero goals while scoring five.

On the other hand, Legon Cities have been in top form, scoring an impressive 10 goals while only conceding one in their three home matches and one away match.

Nsoatreman is definitely bringing a lot of experience to the table, especially since they played in last year’s semifinals. It was quite a disappointment for them to be eliminated by King Faisal by the 3-2 result at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.

Nsoatreman is not only focused on winning the championship but also has bigger dreams of bringing Africa to their region as communicated by their club president years back.

With their club President, Hon. Ignacious Baffour Awuah, ready to fully back their African campaign, it’s a huge boost for the players and the technical team.

Qualifying for Africa would not only raise their value as individuals but also give them incredible exposure on the continental stage.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian and his boys are fired up and ready to make history by winning the Championship for Legon Cities.

Legon Cities and Nsoatreman FC will be held at the WAFA Cup in Sogakope on Saturday, May 11, 2024, with kickoff at 3 pm.
