Legon Cities coach Paa Kwesi Fabin express satisfaction after defeating Chelsea

Legon Cities coach Paa Kwesi Fabin touched on his side’s performance in their Ghana Premier League match-week 28 clash against Berekum Chelsea.

The Royals secured a thrilling 3-2 home victory against Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League match week 28 at Dawu.

Frederick Akatuk made a great impact by scoring his first goal for the club and opening the game in the 41st minute.

Ansu Kofi Patrick equalized for Chelsea in the 85th minute, but Legon Cities showed their resilience by taking the lead again just two minutes later with Abdul Rahman Yahya’s goal in the 87th minute.

Berekum Chelsea really gave it their all by equalizing again in the 91st minute with Awuah Dramani’s powerful free kick.

Yet Legon Cities didn’t back down and kept fighting. Fredrick Akatuk sealed the deal with the icing on the cake, making it 3-2 in favor of Legon Cities.

Even though Legon Cities came out victorious with a 3-2 home win against Berekum Chelsea, Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian expressed in a post-match conference that his defense went a bit asleep, resulting in conceding two goals.

“My defense went asleep, before the commencement of the game i told them that Berekum Chelsea is a very difficult side and therefore we shouldn’t take this for granted but then they went to sleep a little bit and then we conceded those two silly goals”.

Fabin highlighted the importance of his team moving away from the relegation zone.

“Well I think is a good thing and it will help us to prepare for the next game knowing that we are a little bit safe, we are not safe yet but we believe that with a little bit of hard work, we will stay out of this relegation battle”.

Legon Cities is currently sitting at 10th place on the league log with 38 points after playing 28 matches. Their next game is going to be an away match against Kotoko at Baba Yara.
