Unsatisfied with our play, good result in Kumasi – Kasim Mingle

Nations FC coach Kasim Mingle is satisfied with the result after their fantastic 0-1 away victory against Kotoko in match-week 23 of the Ghana Premier League.

It was an intense and exciting match between the two clubs as Nations FC emerged as the winners from Asamoah Afriyie’s powerful header in the second minute additional time for the first half.

The tactician was ecstatic in his post-match interview, highlighting the needed win to continue their pursuit for the top-four.

“Today we didn’t play the normal game we’ve been playing but it wasn’t bad so far as we got the three points. I’m okay.

“It is true that we look like title contenders, if you look at our path in the league, where we came from and we pushed so far to this point and the boys are still playing well, then it’s true.

“We will see what will happen at the end of the season.”

Kotoko has dropped to 9th position with 32 points, while Nations FC is currently sitting in second place on the table with 40 points, just two points behind the league leader FC Samatex.

The Reds will be playing their next match away against Bechem United, while Nations FC will be hosting Great Olympics at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on match-week 24.
