Ebenezer Annan has praised Black Stars head coach Otto Addo for creating a conducive environment for new players during their March international friendlies.
The 21-year-old, currently on loan at Serb top-flight club Novi Pazar from Serie A’s Bologna, was a late addition to Addo’s squad for the two friendly matches against Uganda and Nigeria.
Annan made a second-half appearance in the 2-1 loss to Nigeria and was subsequently given a starting position in the 2-2 draw against Nigeria.
“I was a bit shy when I arrived at camp because I’m a new player. But my colleagues were welcoming and friendly. During training, the coach said I should feel free and do my best,” he said, as quoted by GhanaSoccernet.
“The communication amongst ourselves was great. You could talk to anyone, so I was happy to realize we were on the same page.”
Annan hopes to earn a spot in the Black Stars squad for the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Central African Republic.
