Dreams FC pumped up for Stade Malien challenge

Dreams FC are brimming with confidence as they prepare to face Malian outfit Stade Malien.

The Ghanaian FA Cup holders are in the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup. The first leg of this highly anticipated encounter is scheduled for this Sunday in Bamako.

Having advanced to the quarterfinals as group winners with an impressive record of four wins and two draws, Dreams FC will face a formidable opponent in Stade Malien. With their sights set on securing a favorable result in the away leg, Dreams FC are optimistic about their chances.

“As you said, a big challenge. Yes we have also accepted that so are preparing seriously for the encounter. Well we need the fans, we still depend on them to support us and pray for us. They should continue praying for us so that we do the best and raise the image of Ghana in Africa,” Dreams FC Coach Karim Zito told 3Sports

Striker John Antwi expressed confidence in their team’s abilities.

“Of course coming this far, I know a lot of Ghanaians didn’t expect us to go this far but then we have done our best to come this far and of course with our coach, Coach Karim Zito who also has a lot of experience and everybody on board, I think we can be able to go to the semifinal.”

With their sights firmly set on reaching the semi-finals, Dreams FC aim to extend their remarkable run in the competition, further solidifying their presence in their debut campaign on the continental stage.

The team travel to Bamako, Mali from Ghana on Friday to honour the match that will be played at the Stade du 26 Mars on Sunday at 5pm
