Young Africans vs Mamelodi Sundowns

The Caf Champions League quarter-final action returns to Dar-es-Salaam at 18.00 GMT with Young Africans SC battling Mamelodi Sundowns

The formidable Tanzanian side who are yet to clinch a Caf Champions League crown welcome the two-time champions at the National Stadium.

For Masandawana, it’s another chance to win the title since the triumph in 2016. Head coach Rhulani Mokoena will hope for a great result away but Yanga have been impressive at home.

Beating CR Belouizdad, Medeama and Ahly in the group stages should not be regarded as a normal feat.

Esperance vs ASEC Mimosas

The last first-leg game is at 21.00 GMT when Esperance de Tunis play Asec Mimosas in Tunisia.

Asec finished their group stage, topping Simba, Wydad Casablanca and Galaxy FC. The Ivorians have not enjoyed success in Africa’s top flight since winning in 1993.

For Esperance, the focus will be on a semi-final ticket so as to earn another opportunity to get close to the title.

The Black and Gold won their last CafCL in 2019 with Moine Chaabani.

In stadiums filled with chants and cheers, history awaits to be written, promising an unforgettable weekend of football drama in the quest for continental glory.
