Ghana coach Chris Hughton expects his side to be better in their second group B match at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against Egypt on Thursday.
The Black Stars were defeated 2-1 by Cape Verde on Sunday, raising doubts on the team’s chances of qualifying for the knockout stages.
Hughton, speaking to reporters ahead of the game, highlighted the importance of the Egypt hurdle.
“We know we are up against a very good team that I used to doing well at this tournament.
“Our responsibilities are to assess in our last game what we should have done better and to make sure that we come improve going into the next game.”

Egypt needed a late Mohamed Salah penalty to hold Mozambique to a 2-2 draw in their opening match.
Group B remains open, with the record winners and Mozambique having one point each behind Cape Verde while Ghana are bottom of the group.
The Black Stars game against the Pharaohs will be played at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny in Abidjan.
