2023/24 Caf CC: Dreams thump Academica do Lobito in Kumasi

Dreams FC demolished Angolan side Academica do Lobito 4-0 in the CAF Confederation Cup matchday four fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

The resounding victory follows their 3-2 win in Luanda, thereby completing the double over their opponents in the group.

Agyenim Boateng put Dreams ahead in the 35th minute, after a bright start into the game and they held on to the lead for the first half.

After the halftime break, the Still Believe lads extended their advantage with a 49th minute own goal by Adi Boyo.

They were not done, Dreams. The Abdul Aziz Issah show had not begun yet!

The youngster registered his brand on the game with a stupendous strike from midfield to make it 3-0 in the 74th minute. His third goal in the group stage.

Then Issah continued his exceptional display in the game by setting up the fourth for Tanko Nuhu in additional time.

Dreams FC have now amassed nine points, placing them atop Group A.

They are now level on points with Club Africain who thumped Rivers United 3-0 in Tunisia while Rivers United follow in third with 6 points.

The Ghanaians will host the Tunisian side in their next game and a draw will seal their qualification to the knockout stage.
