Jordan Ayew extends Crystal Palace stay one more year till 2025

Ghana international Jordan Ayew has put pen to paper on a new contract extension with Crystal Palace, securing his commitment to the club until June 2025.

The 32-year-old Palace No. 9’s impressive start to the 2023/24 season, including standout performances and vital contributions, has earned him this contract extension.

Ayew, who recently showcased his skill with an excellent half-volley goal against Tottenham Hotspur, has been instrumental in key matches, setting up crucial goals against Sheffield United, Brentford, and Plymouth.

His stellar form was further recognized when he was named the cinch Player of the Month for August.

Having joined Palace from Swansea City on loan in August 2018, Ayew has been a consistent presence, featuring in 186 matches across various competitions. Notably, he participated in all 41 of Palace’s fixtures during the previous season.

Crystal Palace Chairman Steve Parish expressed his satisfaction, stating, “Jordan is a fantastic professional, on and off the pitch. His efforts are never less than 100%, and as a result, he provides an outstanding example to his teammates day in, day out. I am delighted to see him extend his spell in red and blue yet again.”

Jordan Ayew, upon signing the contract extension, shared his enthusiasm, saying, “It feels great. I think everyone knows how much I love this club. I feel immense pride every time I put on the Palace shirt; this club is my home, and signing a new contract shows that.

“Everything about Crystal Palace is special – the fans especially. They are our 12th man. There isn’t a fanbase as passionate and supportive as ours in the league; you are always with us from the first minute until the end.
