VIDEO: Fatawu Issahaku’s debut goal drives Leicester to 3-1 triumph at Swansea
Ghanaian rising star Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored his debut goal for Leicester City in their triumphant comeback against Swansea City in the 2023/24 English Championship on Saturday.
The game initially favoured Swansea, who took the lead with a deflected volley by Matt Grimes from the edge of the box in the 20th minute.
However, Leicester City’s Jannik Vestergaard evened the score just before halftime.
Continuing their dominance in the second half, the Foxes’ relentless pressure was rewarded with their second goal in the 63rd minute.
It was Fatawu’s turn to shine as he skillfully blasted the ball into the net after a clever dummy by Nigerian midfielder Wilfried Ndidi set him up. Watch goal:

The 19-year-old Sporting Lisbon loanee was substituted two minutes after scoring his first goal in eight league appearances.
Leicester City’s victory was sealed in the 87th minute when Kelechi Iheanacho netted a goal.
The win, their seventh consecutive, solidified their position at the top of the 2023/24 English Championship.
The Foxes hold a five-point lead over second-placed Ipswich Town and maintain an 11-point buffer within the automatic promotion places.
