Asante Kotoko coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum is satisfied with his team’s performance against Heart of Lions despite the draw.
On opening day of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, the Reds visualized a win against the newly promoted Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
But their guests showed solidity in defence and midfield to earn a point in Kumasi as they handled all threats from the Kotoko attack.
We are held to a draw.

Ogum, speaking after the encounter, highlighted his side’s play but noted the lack of calmness in the final third.
“I think we played an okay game, we did well with our ball movement and chance creation.
“The worry has got to do with our calmness when we are in the 18-yard box. Where we had to be calm and not nervous.
“But this is our first game, they will improve and perfect the game model. We have to take note the blend of youth in the setup as well.
“There’s more to do and they will work well in the upcoming games.”
From all of us , we say a big THANK YOU 🙏 you were amazing last night 👏 #AKSC #Fabucensus pic.twitter.com/Q9WXiMfpUW
