UD Almeria-bound Baba Iddrisu bids fond farewell to Real Mallorca

Ghana international Baba Iddrisu has bid adieu to Real Mallorca as he prepares to embark on a new chapter with fellow Spanish LaLiga outfit UD Almeria.

The departure of the midfielder from Mallorca signifies the culmination of an enduring association that has spanned nearly a decade, tracing back to his initial foray with the Leganes youth team in 2014.

Over the course of his journey, the now 27-year-old footballer has etched his mark on the field, accumulating a commendable total of 91 appearances while donning the Mallorca colours.

As Iddrisu embraces a fresh adventure with UD Almeria, the football world buzzes with anticipation, with reports indicating that he will be affixing his signature to a three-year contract, a pact that carries a valuation in the vicinity of €6 million.

In a touching display of his sentiments, Iddrisu turned to Instagram to convey his emotions, addressing both the club and his fellow teammates in a heartfelt manner.

He shared, “It’s very sad to leave a place I consider home, a club where I’ve lived many good times. Almost a decade shared with the red-black family, and suddenly I say goodbye.”

Iddrisu continued, his words resonating with sincerity, “The journey continues, wishing each of you Mallorcanistas the very best. Until we meet again, I want to tell you that I love you very much and thank you very much for the opportunities and experiences we have shared together.

With an indomitable spirit, he added, “Once a Mallorcan, ALWAYS a Mallorcan supporter. Go Mallorca!!!”
