Baba Iddrisu en route to complete Almeria switch

Spanish La Liga side UD Almeria is on the cusp of securing the services of Ghana international Baba Iddrisu from league rivals Real Mallorca.

The 26-year-old embarked on a journey out of Mallorca on Wednesday night, en route to finalizing his transfer to the Andalusian club.

In the upcoming chapter of his footballing journey, the tenacious midfielder is expected to cement a three-year contractual commitment with Almeria.

This significant move is contingent upon Iddrisu successfully passing a requisite medical examination, a crucial step that could see the deal materialize for an approximate sum of €6 million as transfer fee.

Iddrisu’s decision to embrace this new chapter arrives in the aftermath of grappling with challenges to secure consistent playing time during his tenure at Mallorca in the preceding season.

With an appearance tally of 29 matches, he contributed to Mallorca’s commendable 9th-place finish on the league table.

Beginning his journey in Spanish football with a transition from Leganes youth team to Mallorca in 2014, Iddrisu’s professional trajectory is marked by notable milestones. As he makes his way to Almeria, a club with its own ambitions and aspirations, his move is set to have a considerable impact. With a year left on his current contract with Mallorca, this transition signifies an important phase in his evolving career.
