Turkish Super Lig club, Beşiktaş, has officially confirmed the successful acquisition of Ghanaian footballer Daniel Amartey ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Securing his place in Beşiktaş until June 2026, Amartey has committed to a three-year contract with the club.

Having arrived in Turkey earlier in the day, the Ghanaian completed the obligatory medical examination, a requisite step in finalising the transfer process.

The official confirmation of this deal was released late on Friday, with a statement published on the club’s website.

The statement read, “Our club signed a contract with Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey as part of the transfer efforts for the 2023/24 season,” the statement read.

“We wish Daniel Amartey, who we believe will render important services to our club, great success with our glorious uniform, and present it to the public with our respect.”

Beşiktaş, having secured the third spot in the Turkish League last season, is set to participate in the forthcoming 2023/24 Europa Conference League.

Amartey, notable for his outstanding athleticism and agility, has enjoyed a remarkable career. His accolades include his time in Denmark where he played for FC Copenhagen, prior to his move to the English Premier League with Leicester City.
