Emmanuel Ntim: Ghana defender joins SM Caen on free transfer

Former Ghana youth international, Emmanuel Ntim has swapped clubs in the French second tier by signing for SM Caen from Valenciennes.

The 26-year-old centre-back had spent the past 8 years on the books of Valenciennes, a side he joined from Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy in 2014.

On Wednesday, SM Caen announced that Ntim – who featured in all games for the Black Satellites at the 2015 Fifa U-20 World Cup in New Zealand – has signed a three-year contract and is to stay at the club until 2025.

Ntim is touted as having a solid knowledge of the Ligue 2 in which he has already played 104 games.

โ€œWe are delighted that Emmanuel is joining us and that he can join our project. He is a very valuable player in interceptions, strong in duels and is used to evolving in the scheme advocated by the coach. For all these reasons, his arrival is excellent news,” said director of recruitment Yohan Eudeline.

Last season, Emmanuel Ntim featured in 36 Ligue 2 games and scored twice.
