2021/22 GPL: Second round to kick-start February 25

The second round of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL) will kick-start on the weekend of February 25-28.

The ongoing season – which began on Friday, October 29 – is expected to end on Sunday, June 19.

The outstanding match between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko which comes off on Sunday, February 20, will draw the curtains for the first round of the season.

Asante Kotoko currently lead the standings with 36 points – 6 points ahead of second-placed Bechem United and 12 points richer than holders Hearts of Oak who sit in 8th place after 16 matches.

The first round will finally come to a halt on Sunday, February 20 when the Phobians host their arch-rivals in an outstanding match-day 7 fixture.

Starting the second round, WAFA will welcome King Faisal on Friday, February 25. Also in the match-day 18 round of games, Hearts of Oak will make a short trip to the El-Wak Stadium to play Legon Cities while leaders Asante Kotoko host Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
