New GFA Prez and ExCo to meet NC, Fifa reps

New Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt E.S Okraku and his Executive Council members will hold a joint meeting with the Normalization Committee and representatives of Fifa Saturday.

The all-important meeting is scheduled to take place at the headquarters of the GFA at 14:00GMT.

It is said to be upon a request by Luca Nicola – Fifa’s Head of Member Associations Governance Services – and Solomon Mufudzi Mudege, a Senior Development Manager – who have been the world football governing body’s ears and eyes throughout the Ghana football normalization process.

The duo arrived in Ghana Thursday afternoon to witness the Ghana FA Presidential elections held on Friday.

Randy Abbey, Samuel Anim Addo and Mark Addo – who won seats on the Executive Council as Division One representatives – are expected to be present at the meeting.

In attendance too will be the five new Premier League representatives on the Executive Council – Dr. Toni Aubynn, Frederick Acheampong, George Amoako, Nana Sarfo Oduro and Kingsley Osei Bonsu.

Madam Habiba Attah Forson will also represent women’s football, while Linford Boadu Asamoah will also be at the meeting, having won one slot of the Regional Football Association (RFA).

One more Executive Council member is expected to be elected onto the 12-member body following the tie in the RFA’s elections Thursday. That will be determined at the next Emergency Congress of the GFA.
