Former England youth striker Joe Dodoo has revealed that he joined Rangers because he wanted to win more trophies with the ‘Light Blues’
He believes the Scottish league will shape his career by enjoying more playing time.
Dodoo left English Premier League champions Leicester City in July to complete a four-year deal with the former UEFA Cup Winners Cup.
The 21-year-old who is now available for future Black Stars selections said he is happy to be part of the club’s long time project and is ready to give his all to help the club succeed.
“The standard of football in Scotland is a good standard,” Dodoo told Rangers TV.
“The Premier League is different obviously, but at the end of the day we have a really strong team.
“We have a strong squad and we out there know that we are going to be better than anyone. We are going to play [our] games and win.”
On the reasons why he joined the ‘Gers’, he said;
“I want to be part of a winning team.
“I wanted to come somewhere where you are expected to win games and you are expected to win trophies and that is the kind of team I strive to play for.
“Here, you have to be successful, we have to win games. That is probably the main reason why I came to this club,” he added.
Dodoo scored on his debut for Rangers against East Stirlingshire during preseason.
Rangers are leading the Scottish league table with seven points.
