Adomah positive about Middlesbrough’s set-up for EPL return

Middlebrough winger Albert Adomah is optimistic his side will work out a good balance between old and new players before the new season gets underway.

The attacker was key in Boro’s qualification to the Premier League last season, scoring six times in 43 appearances.

The club stepped up preparations for their opener with a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.

“When you sign players you have to get time in with them training and in games, which we’re doing,” Adomah told the club’s official website.

“For the players, it helps them getting to know their teammates and Saturday showed we’re linking up.

“Like George [Friend] and Vikto [Fischer]. Then there’s obviously Emilio [Nsue] and me who have been together for a long time now.

“There are little things we need to work on but it will work out for the best gradually.”

Aitor Karanka’s outfit, who lasted seven years in the second tier of English club football, mark their return to the Premier League with a home fixture with Stoke City on August 13.
