Super clash: Hearts net GH¢ 271,000 from defeat to Kotoko

Accra Hearts of Oak took home GH¢ 271,000 as net amount from their Super clash home defeat to arch rivals Asante Kotoko on Monday.

According to official figures from the National Sports Authority (NSA) made available to Ghonetv.com, the match day 10 fixture of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League grossed a total GH¢453,000 from the sold out 38,000 tickets printed for the encounter.

Ticket prices for the match ranged from GH¢10 to GH¢ 100.

However, several statutory deductions – 17.5% VAT followed by cost of ticket printing, allocations to checkers and sellers as well as refreshments for special guests were factored in arriving at the take home amount for the Phobians.

Also, 10% each was set aside for the Ghana Football Association and the National S ports Authority, 5% each to the Premier League Board (PLB) and the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA).

A Soulama Abdoulaye howler in the 44th minute gifted Kotoko all three points from Hearts of Oak in their 54th Premier League meet in the Greater Accra region.
