‘Media spewed lies about my relationship with Hearts m’gt’ – Kenichi

Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has accused the media of spreading lies about his purported strained relationship with the club’s management.

The Japanese-American trainer a fortnight ago came under intense pressure for an alleged show of gross disrespect to the Hearts Strategic Management Committee during a technical/management meeting at the club’s secretariat. Kenichi was alleged to have banged the door on his employers and stormed out of the meeting which he is perceived to not be a fan of.

Revisiting the episode which was calmed by the club’s historic away win over champions AshantiGold later that week, the former Aspire Academy coach says he has never had problems with management and that the media should be blamed for false reportage.

“The assumption is wrong. I’ve no problem at all with the management.

“I have a problem with the media writing untrue story; I never banged the door and I never had an issue with the management.

“I think you guys media are to blame [for] all the lies, all the rumours that were coming out so I blame you. I’ve never said anything about the management…,” he explained.

Kenichi Yatsuhashi has guided Hearts of Oak to five wins, three stalemates and two defeats in his first ten games as a coach in the Ghana Premier League.
