DR Congo giants AS Vita Club have rejected a $190,000 offer to sell Ghanaian winger Bernard Morrison.
South Africa’s Orlando Pirates tabled the offer after getting impressed by the former AshantiGold kingpin’s quality in this year’s CAF Champions League.
AS Vita Club, who have now been expelled from the Champions League for fielding an unqualified player, according to club sources may only consider selling the Ghana international if the Pirates bid is more than doubled.
Vita dolled out close to $125,000 (transfer and sign-on fees) to land Morrison from AshantiGold and want at least $440,000 from Pirates if they have to release the impressive attacker.
Footy-Ghana can reveal AshantiGold are entitled to 20% of any transfer business that AS Vita would enter into for Bernard Morrison.
Morrison joined AS Vita for three years in August 2015.
