REPORT: Duncan’s ‘step aside’ status maintained until…

Embattled Asante Kotoko coach David Duncan is set to enjoy his current position and all entitlement at the sidelines as the struggling giants look to find their feet in the domestic competitions.

The record league champions returned to winning ways by beating Liberty Professionals 3-1 in the Ghana Premier League barely a week after the Opoku Nti-led management asked the head coach to step aside until further notice.

Snipets of information picked up by your authoritative news source, Footy-GHANA.com from Monday’s situational meeting summoned by club owner and life patron of the porcupine club, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace indicate that no firm decision was taken over the future of the estranged coach.

The meeting which had the entire management team as well as the Kotoko Board and David Duncan in attendance touched on several internal issues which sources and club officials have opted to remain tight-lipped on.

However, Footy-GHANA.com reliably understands that Duncan’s fate will be decided after conclusive talks with Board Chairman Paul Adu-Gyamfi.
