GPL: Yahaya sends Kotoko rock bottom

A second half Yahaya Mohammed goal handed Aduana Stars all three points against Asante Kotoko at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

The former Kotoko attacker broke the deadlock 10 minutes into second half, ending up as the only goal of the encounter between the two fierce rivals.

The porcupine warriors who are having their worst start to a season managed to keep Aduana at bay and were growing in confidence of finding the opening goal after half time.

But it was Yahaya who made the most of a glorious chance that came his way as he pounced on a loose ball to slot past goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi who had come on for injured Ernest Sowah.

Kotoko failed to peg back with the game ending 1-0 in favour of the coach Cioaba Aristica side.

The 23-time league winners after their match day six defeat sit bottom of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League table with 5 points while Aduana climb to 10th position with 7 points.
