League leaders Wa All Stars suffered their first defeat in 8 games of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League to Bechem United on Wednesday.
Two goals from Abednego Tetteh ensured Bechem secured all three points while midfielder Atta Kofi Yeboah could only find a consolation for All Stars. 2-1 it ended.
Wa All Stars thus have their lead on the league table cut to two points as Hearts of Oak gained a point in their game in Accra.
WAFA SC’s rehearsed plan to salvage at least a point against the Phobians worked as they headed into the lead after 34 minutes through Charles Boateng. Hearts hard to work their way back with Cosmos Dauda scoring the equalizer in the 69th minute.

Liberty Professionals returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Berekum Chelsea in Dansoman. Asiwome Fumador stunned the hosts with the opener before Latif Blessing scored two goals in sucession to overturn the tide. Midfielder Bernard Arthur then scored the third to hand Liberty a comfortable 3-1 victory.
Struggling champions AshantiGold came out victors in the Adansi derby on Wednesday. The Miners beat rivals New Edubiase United 2-1 with goals from Francis Adjei and Anthony Yerful. Abdul Wahab Annan scored for Edubiase.
