Liberty Professionals came back from an initial blip to defeat visitors Berekum Chelsea 3-1 in their match day 8 midweek fixture of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.
Chelsea took the game to their hosts at the Carl Reindorf Park, dominating exchanges in the opening minutes until they finally had their questions answered with an opener credited to striker Asiwome Fumador.
Liberty picked up after conceding the first goal and came close to equalizing in the 20th minute but Taminu Muntari’s shot went just wide.
With pressure increasing, high-flying attacker Latif Blessing got the equalizer on the 36th minute mark to increase his impressive goal tally to six.
Four minutes to full time, the diminutive playmaker scored his personal second of the afternoon and his 7th to extend his lead on the scorers’ chart this campaign.

The game went into recess with the home side leading Chelsea by two goals to one.
The tempo in the second half dropped with no real threats from either side. Issah Yakubu of Liberty had a great chance in the 72nd minute to send the game beyond the visitors but wasted his effort.
In the 85th minute, Bernard Arthur finally got his name on the score sheet as the game ended 3-1 in favour of Liberty Professionals.
