GPL: ‘My boys were too dull against Dwarfs’ – Herbert Addo

Inter Allies coach Herbert Addo has conceded his side played second best in their 1-3 loss to Ebusua Dwarfs on Saturday.

The Eleven is To One side recorded their third loss of the campaign with the defeat to Dwarfs in the first game of the Week 6 fixtures of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League played at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium.

Ebusua Dwarfs recorded their first victory in the season after six rounds of matches, having drawn two games and lost the other three.

Nicholas Gyan opened the scoring just five minutes into the game before Samuel Quayeson doubled the lead with a free kick strike. Midfielder Gockel Ahortor also scored from a free kick – the consolation goal for Inter Allies before the break. After recess, enterprising Bright Luqman scored his second goal of the season to put the game beyond the reach of the visitors.

Speaking after the game, Herbert Addo lashed at his side’s performance as one of a team not prepared to fight to win the three points on offer.

‘’No complains!. We did not play as we should have played. We were too dull and not sharp enough. And Dwarfs were sharp so the result is what is expected… That’s what they got.

“If you’re not prepared to fight and the other team is prepared to, then you shouldn’t expect to win.”

“Dwarfs did very well, their tactics worked very well. They just put the ball up and our central defenders were not very good today so the goals came. It was a good game. Good luck to them.’’

The win temporarily takes Dwarfs to 10th position on 5 points, whilst Inter Allies drops to the 11th position on the league log.

Seven more match day 6 games are set to be played across league centres on Sunday.
