Anthony Commey disappointed with draw at Len Clay Stadium

Head Coach of Bekwai side New Edubiase, Anthony Commey have expressed disappointment in his side’s 2-2 draw with debutants Techiman City.

The match day 6 fixture which took place on Sunday saw the side come back from a 1-2 defeat to get an equalizer at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Anthony Commey told sports journalists after the game “We’ve been playing the game alright, creating chances to be scored but today’s game wasn’t bad and we got two goals from the chances we created”.

Although Commey believes his side can improve, he has disputed claims off the pitch issues are causing the poor performance.

The club has for sometime now complained of lack of funds and a threat to pull out of the league but for the timely intervention of sponsorship money from SuperSport.

In his response to whether off the pitch issues are affecting the team on the pitch, Commey mentioned “that’s not the case, we are all planning together but as a coach it’s my responsibility to bring the team back to where it has to be and the draw it’s not nice for us but I will do my best to turn things around”.

New Edubiase are yet to win a game in their last five games in all competitions and are now lying 15th on the league log awaiting an away game against WAFA in match day 7.
