The Professional Football Association of Ghana (PFAG) is set to launch an Insurance and Life after Football fund scheme for all Ghanaian Professional Footballers next Monday.
The event has been set to take place at the Alisa Hotel in Accra at 6:30pm.
In a statement released by the Communications Department of the PFAG and signed by Thomas Boakye Agyemang, “on 21st of March 2016, the PFAG will launch the much awaited Insurance (SIC) and Life after Football Fund (Fidelity).”
“The Insurance and Life after Football scheme that has been organized by the PFAG and partners for all professional players.”
The statement further said: “the insurance has been designed to cover players for Accidental death, Critical Illness, temporary disability and general accident suffered on the field of play.”
The PFAG began operation in June 2009 at its office located in the Accra Sports Stadium and officially launched May 2010. The PFAG is affiliated to the International Federation for Professional Footballers (FIFPro) the voice for all professional footballers worldwide.
The PFAG has former Black Stars defender Anthony Baffoe as its General Secretary.

PFAG INSSURANCE AND LIFE AFTER FOOTBALL FUND LAUNCH
The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) is launching an Insurance and Life after Football fund for all Professional Footballers based in Ghana as well as Ghanaian players abroad and we need your support!
The PFAG is a Players Union which mainly focuses on sustaining and protecting the interest of all professional footballers throughout their playing career and beyond.
The PFAG began operation in June 2009 at its office located in the Accra Sports Stadium and officially launched May 2010. The PFAG is affiliated to the International Federation for Professional Footballers (FIFPro) the voice for all professional footballers worldwide.

As you probably know, this is the first of its kind in Ghana and its designed to support Professional Footballers who might suffer from heart disease, stroke or other cardiovascular disease and other major sports injuries.
