MASSIVE BOOST FOR KOTOKO: Dauda cleared after injury scare

Asante Kotoko have been handed a big boost with the news that youngster Dauda Mohammed is cleared to feature in the club’s next game on Wednesday.

The striker was stretchered off after coming on in the second half for the porcupine warriors in Sunday’s 2-2 drawn game against Medeama at the Baba Yara Stadium.

It was feared that the teenage forward had suffered a head injury that could rule him out for the next few games.

However, club doctors, after assessing Dauda, have allayed such fears and informed head coach David Duncan that the player did not suffer any serious injury and can be used for Wednesday’s outstanding league match against regional rivals AshantiGold in Kumasi.

Footy-GHANA.com has confirmed that Dauda Mohammed suffered two cuts over his eyebrows.

Coach David Duncan will be relieved man after having to start the season with limited options in attack due to injuries to Dauda and new signing Kwame Boateng.
