‘Hasaacas to get back to winning ways’ – Basigi

Sekondi Hasaacas are ready to get back to winning ways after an inconsistent start to the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League Season, says head coach Yusif Basigi.

The ‘Dooo Boys’ lost  their opening game of the season to Wa All Stars by 3 goals to nil, won on match day 2 (4-2) at Essipong Stadium over Techiman City but lost woefully, 5-0 against academy boys WAFA in Sogakope and many have attributed the loss to outstanding arrears owed the team.

Coach of the side Yussif Basigi in an interview with Kapital Sports admitted it was challenging the team had not been paid but assured supporters of the club the situation will not affect the side’s performance on the pitch.

“We still have the challenge but we’ve put it aside, though the outstanding is still there, we have no excuse if we still talk about while things are not going on well so we have to do well so that when better things come we will know what to do”

“For now, the task ahead, we don’t want to focus on that,” he added.

The Coach of the senior women’s team, the Black Queens, has assured fans of a comeback to winning ways as they get ready for Match day 4.

“After having lost heavily at WAFA, definitely we need to do all we can to make our fans happy and our players have accepted the challenge and so we are getting on.”

Sekondi Hasaacas will face defending champions Ashgold at the Essipong stadium on Sunday.
