CAF CC: Medeama name 32-man contingent for Al-Ittihad clash

Medeama SC have announced a 32-man team for their CAF Confederation Cup first leg game away to Al-Ittihad Tripoli on Sunday.

Eighteen (18) players, seven (7) members from the technical team, five (5) management committee members, a journalist, a representative of the Ghana Football Association (Western Regional FA boss Kojo Yankah) make up the travelling party to face the North African side.

The Ghanaian side will be leaving Accra Thursday evening for the 1/16th round encounter set for March 13.

Medeama begin the quest to better their African record against Ittihad in Sfaxien, Tunisia. The Libyans have opted for the Tunisia venue as a result of a ban on their country.

Goalkeepers: Muntari Tagoe, Michael Sai

Defenders: Samuel Adade, Moses Sarpong, Daniel Amoah, Paul Aidoo, Francis Addo and Patrick Opoku

Midfielders: Victor Ayirey, Malik Akowuah, Joseph Gordon , Kwame Boahene, Kwesi Donsu, Eric Kwakwa and Emmanuel Yeboah

Strikers: Benjamin Bature, Abass Mohammed and Dominic Eshun.

Meanwhile the Ghana Football Association and the FA Cup Committee have urged Medeama Sporting Club to fight hard and secure a good result before the return leg in Ghana.
