Frimpong confident of victory against Ashgold

Asante Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong is confident the Porcupine Warriors can secure their first three points of the season when they take on regional rivals AshantiGold SC in an outstanding match day 2 encounter at the Baba Yara stadium.

Kotoko lost their first game of the season to WAFA 2-0 and failed to take advantage of their first home game when they were held to a 2-2 draw on Sunday.

Frimpong missed the Medeama game through injury but is expected to return on Wednesday to face the Miners and he believes the players are well motivated for the game.

“The motivation is not in doubt. Every player is feeling motivated. We’re not happy that we only have one point but I’m confident that against Ashgold we will secure all the three points,” Frimpong said at a press conference Tuesday.

The game will kick off at 4pm.
