Our win over Kotoko not a fluke – Samuel Tetteh

WAFA SC winger Samuel Tetteh has indicated that their 2015/16 Ghana Premier League opening day triumph over Asante Kotoko was a plan well executed.

Tetteh was off the mark in the 2-0 victory on Saturday and enjoyed toying around the defence of Kotoko all game. He scored the second goal three minutes into the second half and subsequently won the Man-of-The-Match award.

The Black Stars player formed a good partnership with Captain Martin Antwi and Gideon Waja as they mesmerized the record league champions.

Speaking after the match, the 2015 Fifa U-20 World Cup star said they played well and were expecting the win.

“We had to play our best game so, I think we did well. We were expecting this win also.”

“It was part of the coach’s plans. Hearing what people were saying [before the game], we believe it was a tough match for us but I think we did well and we deserve to win,” Tetteh added.

The youngster returned to join his friends at WAFA a fortnight ago after undergoing a two weeks trials with Swedish giants Malmo FF in Dubai.
