I am preparing myself for the second round – Moro Abubakar

Moro Abubakar has made known his intentions of a comeback to the Ghana Premier League in the second round as he trains hard to secure a club.

The midfielder has been unattached since his return from Serbia where he played for FK Donji Srem after leaving Hearts of Oak in 2014.

“Yeah, I will come back. I am preparing myself for the second round. At this moment, I haven’t talked with any club but only Hearts of Oak but things didn’t go through,” the midfielder told Starr FM in Accra.

The former captain of the Phobians is in high hopes of gaining full fitness for the second round by the time he gets a club. Moro can only register to play for a side in the second round when the Ghana Premier League transfer window unlocks on May 2.

“I am training with Coach Erico at the Lizzy Sports Complex so I know everything will be fine and I will be fit by the time I get a club.” he added.

Abubakar has remained inactive since cancelling his contract with the Serbian outfit in 2014 and failed a deadline day transfer return to his former employers, Hearts of Oak, blaming the Phobians for disrespecting him and showing lack of interest.

Moro captained Hearts in the 2013/2014 Ghana Premier League before his bad deal to Serbia that left him unpaid his due salary after the first month.
