GPL: Liberty Captain Sarfo eyes first win against Inter Allies

Defender Samuel Sarfo is confident Liberty Professionals can put their 2-0 defeat to Bechem United behind them and return to winning ways on Sunday.

Sarfo, who is captain of the side that was listless in their opening league match away to Bechem United thinks it was a bad day for the ‘scientific soccer lads’ and they will put up a good fight in their second game.

“Whether we win, draw or lose, we take it in good faith. We lost 2-0 in an away game. It wasn’t the best of games but we hope to bounce back in the second league game,” said the skipper.

Liberty Professionals welcome Inter Allies FC to the Carl Raindorf at Dansoman this weekend and Sarfo anticipates a good performance and an occasion to prove their doubters wrong. According to him, the team’s hard work at training will be rewarded with a victory over Inter Allies on Sunday.

“We promise you that, with the kind of training we are doing here and the help of our able men, the coach George Lamptey and the assistant, Felix Aboagye, we are putting things together and with the help of the playing body, we hope to knock Inter Allies down,” he stated.
