Premier League side Wa All Stars have secured a conditional release of highly rated striker Joel Fameyeh.
The teenage Asokwa Deportivo forward who has been on the radar of many a top Ghana Premier League club is currently in France on a scheduled trial exercise with two clubs – Stade Rennais and SC Bastia.
But Footy-Ghana.com understands that there is an agreement between All Stars and Deportivo which will see Fameyeh return to Ghana and feature for the Wa-based club should he fail to land a deal with any of the two French clubs by the close of the January transfer window in Europe.
“The boy [Fameyeh] is in France now. But we have secured an agreement to register him to play for us in case a deal does not work out for him in Europe. He can only be with us on loan if he is to return to Ghana,” a Wa All Stars management official disclosed.
Fameyeh was heavily rumoured to have signed for giants Asante Kotoko on deadline day but the claim was shot down after it emerged the youngster [on his way to France] had crossed paths with the side at the Kotoka Airport on their return from Libya last week.
