Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has rubbished reports that he has suffered a fresh injury setback.
Asamoah was left out of Coach Massimiliano Allegri’s squad that played and won 3-1 against Fiorentina on Sunday. His omission from the squad sparked rumours in the media that he had sustained a fresh injury but the midfielder has come out to quash the reports.
“I’m surprised to read from the internet that I am injured. There’s no truth in that. I just recovered from one and recently played a game.
“If there’s any such news, my club will always announce it. I’m however okay and training well,” the midfielder told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.
The former Udinese player who has battled with a prolonged injury layoff and recently returned to play his first game of the season for Juventus in their 2-0 win over Lazio in the Serie A.
