TWO YEARS: Saka extends Aduana Stars stay

Defender Godfred Saka has committed his future to Aduana Stars by two more seasons, footy-Ghana.com has confirmed.

According to the club, Saka, like goalkeeper Stephen Adams was thought to be on his way out after a long-service but he instead, pledged to stay on after meeting with club owner Nana Agyemang Badu II last week.

The 27-year-old right back who has been with the former league champions for the past six years has preferred to continue his career at Dormaa by extending his contract till the end of the 2016/17 season.

“That’s true, he [Godfred Saka] and Adams extended their contracts by two years each,” CEO Albert Commey told footy-Ghana.com.

“Their contracts expired and we thought they want to move on but they went to Nana and expressed their intention to continue and the extension was done,” he further explained.

Footy-Ghana.com understands that Saka, the former Right to Dream Academy trainee, was very recently courted by league champions AshantiGold.
