Ghana’s Black Stars began preparations for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola with their first training session held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Otto Addo, a group of eight players took part in the initial session.
The squad included three players from the domestic league: Razak Simpson (Nations FC), Isaac Afful (Samartex), and Emmanuel Antwi (Asante Kotoko).
They were joined by five foreign-based players – Gideon Mensah, Kudus Mohammed, Elisha Owusu, Joseph Wollacott, and Osman Bukari.
More players are expected to join the camp, with additional arrivals anticipated late Monday. Coach Addo is set to work with an expanded squad in the next session scheduled for Tuesday.
Ghana face Angola on Friday in Luanda, aiming to secure a crucial win in their quest to qualify for AFCON 2025.
The Black Stars will complete the qualification round with a home fixture against Niger next Monday.
